    If you weren’t tried and convicted, you don’t have to answer in the affirmative about any jail or conviction for that specific incident. So, no, it will have no impact on any job application. You have no jail record relating to that specific incident.

    Employers are only allowed to consider felony or misdemeanor convictions. If the case was dismissed it shouldn’t be a problem. However, items that were "deferred judgment", "deferred adjudication" or any other status that could indicate guilt (paying a fine, settling, etc.) could still be considered depending upon the type of position for which you’re applying. Again, though, if it was actually thrown out or dismissed it shouldn’t be an issue if the company is compliant with legal standards.
