To be honest with you, it was a friend–she got married and had a fight with her husband. (He talked to another girl very often, and she saw his emails and msn online conversations with that girl.) The wife was the one who called the police, but ended herself in jail. She was arrested, but her husband did not file any charge against her. He told the prosecutor it was a misunderstanding, so she didn’t need to go to the court and was released.

That’s why I am wondering does arresting record affect one’s future. There is another thing. For example, they want to get divorce some day, and the husband might pull out the police report in order to get any benefit (property, U.S. citizenship, etc.) from the divorce. If they see the judge, will the husband win the court case?
She is a U.S. citizen. That’s why the husband may get the green card. The worse thing would be, the husband changed. Since he is cheating on her, he might get his status fixed first before talking about "divorce"
They only got married for 7 months. Oh, I didn’t know the wife has the right to pull his petition.
