You could go to the courthouses in all the paces he/she has ever been to and ask. You may have to pay a small administrative fee at some of these places. "Public record" does not mean "free".

Or pay the fee at the sites that have already done this work fro you.

The least expensive site is (whitepages.com) but there are not any free sites, depending on which state you are interested in some states have web site where you can log on and check for criminal history.~
