  1. Terry B says:

I’m finding Anthony Higgins’ who got married in Nevada, and Canada, but not NYC.

Could this be the right Louis?:
    New York City Marriages, 1600s-1800s

Publisher: Dept. of Health, Division of Vital Statistics, New York.
    Publication Place: New York, NY

There is a Louis-Auguste Ballat and a Louis-Joseph Ballat, but their marriage records are both in Marne, France…

No Nick Meyers’ records in NY, but there are marriage records for that name in MO and WI.

I have found that the NY Times has an extensive archive online, from 1850 to 1980. They do charge for these articles, but normally they provide you the headline, the section and page, and the first paragraph so you can make an informed decision on whether to buy an article. They have several articles about Senator Anthony Higgins… You can input search keywords at this link to see what relevant info they might have available: http://query.nytimes.com/search/query?srchst=p

    I hope this helps!

    Thanks!
