there is judement showing up on my credit report from 2003, and the file has been shredded. The court says they shred inactive files and that it also wasn’t scanned into there electronic database. I need to now how to go about getting this removed.

First, was there really a judgment? I.e., is the records on your credit report accurate?
If so, don’t do anything. If it happened, it needs to be on your report.
If not, then send a letter to the credit reporting agency "disputing" the accuracy of that particular part of the credit report.
The agency then has 30 days after receiving it to prove its accuracy.
If it can’t, then it has to be removed.
Option A:
Write to the credit reporting agency. Tell them that you dispute this and you want them to verify it with the court. Because the records were shredded, they might be unable to verify it and might have to remove it as a result.
Option B:
Wait a year. Judgments only stay on your report for 7 years. Since it is from 2003, if you do nothing, it should removed in 2010.
You could dispute it. If you can prove that you’re not the person on the receiving end of the judgement, that should take care of it.
