Hello everyone. Last year I was caught in possesion of Crystal Meth. The quantity was one unit (a small packet). When I saw the police I through it on the ground. They arrested me and I got out on bail. Now about six months later the forensic report (lab test on the substance) is back and I’m getting a date to appear in court.
I am afraid, I know I caught on shit and must face the consequense. Im not trying to run away from that. What I dont want is to get a criminal record. Do I have any options?
I live in South Africa.
This is the first and only time I got arrested.

Idk about south africa but in the us. if your underage and they dont have any evidence or not enough evidence or maybe all the evidence but with a good reason they will not put it on your record. idk if your underage or if they even have that law in SA
You can request it, but it won’t happen.
All adverse actions have adverse consequences.
It might be the first time you have been caught, but I would bet my next paycheck it wasn’t the first time you’ve had meth. You will end up with a criminal record because huh-huh…your a criminal. Don’t do the crime, if you aren’t willing to do the time. Period.
Oh, and get a good lawyer. If you promise to get into a rehab program and stay clean, the judge my expunge your record after 6 months to a year, but that is entirely his decision. You are at the mercy of the court.
plead not guilty..get a lawyer to defend you..since it is drug related and charged..of course there is a good chance of having a criminal record..doesn’t look good for you..
Um, no. You don’t get out of it simply becuase you don’t want it on your record. That’s why it’s called a record.
I guess doing drugs wasn’t such a smart idea now, was it? You people want the best of both worlds. You want to break laws and do drugs, but when you’re caught, you don’t want a record. You talked the talk, now walk the walk.
