If so, then what that means is that the charge will be withheld pending the passage of a specific period of time (1-3 years usually). As long as you don't commit another crime during that time, then you will never be convicted and the charge will be dropped. If someone did a full background check on you, they might see the original charge, but they would not see a conviction. However, if you do commit another crime, then both the new charge, and the PJC charge will be put against you and you could be convicted of both. If you simply receive a "continuance" (no prayer for judgement), then all that means is your court date was postponed. by continued, i assume you mean "prayer for judgement – continuance"?
