Is there any way to find out if someone has a criminal record/court case filed against them for free?

Is there some website that I can go to and do a search of the person’s first and last name and place of residence that will tell me if they have a criminal record or were involved in any legal cases that won’t cost me anything? Aren’t those records public?

    If the court has a website, you can look it up. Depending on where you live, you may be able to just call the court clerk and find out over the phone.

    yes, but you have to pay for those. you may be able to look up the name of your criminal court in the state you’re in and look for records to see if anyone has a past or pending charge on them, those a public records and it’s free. Happy hunting.
