My friend found out his daughter is dating a registered sex offender. The charges were for child molesting. The sex offender site gave a court case no. and his name, birthdate, etc. We are trying to find out if it was a statutory rape situation (not that it would make it any better) or he’s a full blown sicko. He was 21 when convicted and served 4 years. We want info ASAP since the daughter may be in danger. He is now 28 and she is 19.

I don’t think there’s anyway you can get the "court details" on your own. Maybe if you had a friend at the courthouse….
If you could get a name of a person involved on the molested child’s side, you might be able to ask questions of them, but you know people don’t always tell the truth, so I don’t know if it would work.
You might hire a PI to search for arrest records in whatever town, state it happened in. I’m pretty sure that it is illegal for a police officer, judge or lawyer to discuss something like this, especially if the man spent his time for it in jail.
Go to Google and type in your state and then Judiciary.
I.E Maryland Judiciary.
In most states, you can put in their name and date of birth, and their criminal record will come up. Search the docket. And click details. It may or may not work, depending on your state. I know it works in PA.
And you said you checked the registry?The information should be there. Otherwise, you could pay for a background check.
Those kinds of details are supposed to be made public.
Sex Offenders are suppose to be registered on a registry with the local police department where you live in order to protect the community from him or her (sex offenders are not just creepy, sweaty-looking dirty old men anymore and this type of crime no longer has boundaries or age limits) and the offender’s information is suppose to be on public record for anyone to view at any time.
You might get in contact with your local police department to see if they can shed some light on things.
