That question of "have you ever been arrested" on a job application means that you have to disclose this information. Yes, even if you get acquitted of the charges, it will show your arrest. This is why news reporters have to say "alleged" and "suspect" until you are proven guilty.
If you were not arrested, then maybe not.
It will show up on your record as a PENDING case. You are not convicted and therefore legally innocent. It may affect you, but depending on what you did some employers may still consider you for employment.
It is illegal for a prospective employer to ask if you have ever been arrested. The reason for this is because it is very possible for one to be arrested for a crime they did not commit.
They can ask you if you have ever been convicted of a crime. If they ask about convictions, you can currently answer "no" because you have not yet been convicted. However, if you are found guilty, you are obligated to answer that question honestly as employers have the right to know under the auspices of "maintaining a safe work environment". (It really is a legal form of discrimination, but since nobody has sympathy for criminals, this form of discrimination will not change any time soon.)
Some applications ask if you have ever been convicted of a felony. If this is the case, you can still answer "no" honestly as yours is a misdemeanor. So be very careful and read applications carefully.
Also, if you are convicted and you need to fill out an application, answer the question honestly without giving any more information than you are absolutely required to. For example, you may want to write down; "Yes, will explain at interview." This is a perfectly acceptable and lawful response. Also, it keeps your record out of your file. Everything you disclose is verbal. It usually won’t come back to hurt you later. However, if it is in writing, it is almost certain to come back against you later.
I hope you learn from your mistake and get your life in order. I wish you the best of success.
