When does a crime appear on the criminal record, in the charging phase, or conviction phase, or any other phase?

Lets say I have a rather extensive arrest record all for marijuana and other drug related offences.( No stealing, no violence, nothing other than possession and sales of marijuana and mushrooms.) If I were pulled over and a police officer saw my record would he have probable cause.

One charge was aggrivated assault in which I threw one punch in self defence and the judge told the kid to put a steak on it. The other charge was for a dwi in which I was found innocent.

I need to search a couple of criminal records of friends that possibly were recently arrested and what jail they may be being detained at and what the charges are

here is the scoop…my wife is taiwanese and we are planning to move back. i need to get an fbi criminal record check and i was a bad boy about 10 years ago…it has been so long i cannot remember if it was civil or criminal or if charges were even brought and i was not convicted of anything. it was a family court issue, i agreed to this and that and it appears all is forgiven and forgotten. and it does not show up on any check i have done commercially, nor does it show up on my towns police report that i got. it does not even show up on a state case listing. but, since it was fingerprints for the fbi check, i think at least the arrest will show up, there was a bench warrant and i was stopped for missing light or something and was arrested in one state awaiting to go back to my home state. anyway, this is 10 years ago
so, we are moving to taiwan and i am curious is this going to prevent me from living with her, working, getting the ARC or anything? i checked and officially, they want criminal report from the past 5 years, but i am guessing this will show up and the the date may be overlooked.
any suggestions?

When I was a minor I got in trouble and now what to join the military. I was convicted of a misdemeanor but was arrested and charged with a felony. The military can still see that. Since I was going to court, because my charges are wrong, but was wondering if anybody knew if I could do anything for the judge to get them completely removed, so the military couldn’t even see them. I graduated high school and now in college with nearly a 4.0 GPA. I was convicted when I was 14 now I’m 18. My dream is to be in the Navy SEALs or Delta Force.I haven’t lost hope yet. I was just wondering if anyone has heard of a judge doing something like that.
I don’t mean expunged, sealed or dismissed, because the military can still see it. I mean completely removed not to where even the judge can see it.

i’m looking for someone and i’m having a difficult time, i only know his first name and the prison he’s in.
i’ve tried looking up mugshots but none are available, why is that?
any other advice?

My husband recently lost his job, because of his own doing. He works for a bank, and he was searching through other people’s accounts to find contact information so that he can get in touch with a friend.

He found out that his childhood bestfriend that he hadn’t seen in 10 year was in jail or had died in jail. He searched people’s name that knew his friend on the computer at work and called the numbers to try to find his parents or whomever could give him information. He eventually found his ex-stepmother who told him that his friend was indeed in jail, and had been stabbed but still alive.

In the process of coming across his stepmom’s number he called his friend’s exgirlfriend and she was apparently upset about the call. When she found out how he got her number she went to her branch and reported it. My husband was fired, and apparently that offense could be a felony if prosecuted. And if he is prosecuted he could lose his professional licenses and have to find another career.

I need to find inmate records for someone in Oregon but I only have their first name and what they look like. I think it was a domestic violence charge if that helps.

Are there any websites that offer a FREE search AND results? I already tried the department of corrections website but they wouldn’t list any results unless I also added a middle initial.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was arrested at the age of 18 for shoplifting. The charges were dismissed. My academic, professional, financial, and criminal records are otherwise perfect. I’m 22 now.

I was just offered a job at a large consulting firm: the background check asked if "you have ever been arrested for any criminal offenses" – I answered no because I thought the record was sealed but it turns out it’s very much accessible.

1) I haven’t heard anything from the company, but I’m thinking about contacting the background investigation entity and letting them know that I made an honest mistake on the application. Do you think this will hurt more than it will help? Would this induce a "deeper" investigation?

2) With this arrest record on file, will I be able to get a Secret Clearance from the government?
