According to the U.S census bureau, the majority of Hispanics in the U.S are supposedly "White". Of the 46 million Hispanics in the U.S, 29 million of them are supposedly "White".

Does anybody here actually believe that this reflects reality ? If the majority of Hispanics in the U.S are "White" than why is the population boom of Hispanics in the U.S referred to as the Browning of America and not the Whitening of America. Why are Whites projected to become a minority in the U.S by 2042 if most Hispanics are just as White as the Anglo Saxons.

If most Hispanics in the U.S are "White", how come the majority of the people that you see at Cinco De Mayo parades and Puerto Rican Pride parades do not racially look like most of the people that you see at Oktoberfest parades and St. Patrick’s Day parades.
Hey JD I know the truth hurts you. But you msut accept the fact that the overwhelming majority of Hispanics can are People Of Color and can not pass for White if their lives depended on it. Like I said just because the census says most Hispanics are "White" it does not mean that it reflects the reality of the real world. Anybody who has been to a predominantly Hispanic neighborhood or a predominantly Hispanic city, knows that most Hispanics look drastically different in appearence from White Anglo Saxons.

  1. Jeremy Descrist Durkenen Sun says:

They expected all of them to mark white. The 2010 census would be VERY interesting.

  2. emily says:

i saw the US census bureau before and yea i got confused about it.
some sites include hispanics as white while some don’t.

  3. Authentic Black American says:

The census have never stated whites will be a minority…The media has..

  4. JD says:

So before you go on a "crusade" you need to do further research about the census.

HISPANIC ORIGIN BY RACE IN CENSUS 2000 Nine out of ten Hispanics reported White alone or Some other race alone.

The US Census only reports what people who participate "fill out" in the survey! They don’t use "racial profiling"!

Good try, but you only looked at one set of statistics without looking into the collection and reporting methodology!
